We have had so much going on lately that I haven’t had much time to post. I thought I would catch everyone up. We played Barb’s Barr this weekend and man did we have a great weekend. The crowd was fabulous and many friends showed up to see us and say “Hi”. We also had a surprise visit from Jack, the lead singer/bass player from Five Smooth Stones who got up and sang “Blue on Black” with us! Our new drummer, Alex Ridgeway, did great job and we were all very impressed with him! We couldn’t have asked for a better drummer.
Cymry (EZ Street Unplugged) is gearing up for St’ Patrick’s Day at The Crescent Brewery on the 16th. We have planned Bill Early on bagpipes opening up the event followed by a potluck dinner. Afterwards Cymry kicks off with special guests Brother Bob on Bass and doing 2 sets of music on guitar. Cindy Emry will be sitting in on mandolin and backing vox. We also have planned Ginger Jones, once President of the Welsh Society, to sit in on backing vocals. We may have a special guest appearance by Robin Scott singing “Landslide” and “Rhiannon” with Jaz.
After St. Patrick’s day EZ Street is going in to rehearsals to learn new material until mid May when we play at The Gathering Place. Cymry will be at Willi B’s on March 30th. So our schedule is as busy as ever! Hopefully some of you can make it out to The Crescent on Saturday. The even kicks off at 3:30 and ends at 11:00. Hope to see you there!
