St. Patrick’s Day Party at The Crescent Brewery

We are very excited about the party at The Crescent Brewery tomorrow. I have been working diligently to get these new songs ready to go. Cindy Emry, my lovely friend, is sitting in with us on mandolin and back up vocals. We also have Brother Bob back with us after his surgery, YAY! He will be doing two sets of music solo. I also have Ginger Jones sitting in with me on two of the Welsh Folk songs singing backup. She used to be the President of the Welsh Society. We have added in 2 new Led Zepplin songs  to the set as well as a Grateful Dead tune and an Irish Lullaby. I also plan to do my version of “Danny Boy”. I will also be doing a short story telling session about the 3 Saints of the Celtic Nations, St. Patrick, of course, from Ireland, St. Andrew from Scotland and St. David from Wales. That will be around 6:45 or so.

Jerry was nice enough to loan me his violin and I was hoping to play “Greensleeves” on it by tomorrow, but alas I have had zero time to practice, maybe next time. Kicking off the celebration will be Bill Early playing tradition bagpipes including “The Highland Fling” and I don’t know what else. That starts at 3:30, then at 4:30 there will be a potluck dinner, so if you plan on bringing a dish please get with Jerry or his wife and let them know what you’d like to bring. Then at 5:00 CYMRY kicks off the music for the night. If you haven’t figured it out by now, we used to be EZ Street Unplugged but I decided I wanted a definite delineation between EZ Street. the full 5 piece band, because we play heavy blues and Rock and I wanted the acoustic project to have it’s own distinctive identity.

We have our kilts ironed, our pipes warmed up, and a great evening filled with Celtic love and song. Jerry may even throw a claymore or two in there 🙂 Hope to see you all there!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂 ❤
